Capital Fashion Week

November 21st & 22nd, 2008

This fall, the National Capital will serve as the latest platform to promote arts and culture through apparel design. Open to the community, to its diverse audience of fashion supporters and to the media, Capital Fashion Week, a glamorous inaugural fashion showcase, will welcome some of Canada's leading designers and most exciting up-and-coming talent. Featuring professional runway shows to highlight Spring/Summer women's and menswear trends for 2009 as well as on-site vendor displays, this two-day event is set to take place in the city's most breathtaking and exclusive historical building, the Government Conference Centre (former Union Train Station) - located in the heart of downtown Ottawa.

Produced by the Capital Fashion Group, a not-for-profit group founded by co-presidents Sheri Chiprout and Maryse Benge to serve as network for supporting fashion in Canada, Capital Fashion Week will be a long running initiative that will grow to become a landmark event for our Nation's Capital, bringing together the community, businesses and people to experience fashion at its best!

JOIN US on Friday and Saturday evening for the city's most alluring new landmark event, sponsored in part by Audi Canada. A portion of the proceeds of this showcase will be given to the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation.
